It is usual for British Prime Ministers and others in senior government posts who are on the point of yet another Quisling spasm of surrender to the EU to proclaim that whatever shameful act he is about to do is about 'putting Great Britain at the heart of Europe'. Sooner or later, and usually sooner, The EU in turn utterly traduces what ever the UK was promised in the latest such squalid deal.
