Easier said than done

Maybe Alasdair Palmer was writing tongue in cheek on Sunday when he said, "Want to cut violent crime? It's quite simple". He reminds us that burglary and crimes of violence were up during the last three months of 2008, and violent crime has doubled since 1997 - and that's according to official figures. But his solutions aren't as simple as they seem ....
