The shameful capitulation of the EU peacekeeping 'force' to rebels in Chad, before even setting off for that country, laid bare the impotence of supranational entities in taking action in world affairs. Further shame is about to be heaped on the EU though, as the UN woos France in an attempt to get Paris to act alone in defence of the government of Chad...
