He served, with distinction, in the Middle East, North Africa and Italy. He helped the Poles to victory at Monte Cassino. He shared beer and cigarettes with the lads (and a few lasses). Now he is going to get his own memorial in Scotland and someone has written a biography. Blockbuster movie, anyone?
