BBC inaccuracy in trying to shill for Labour?

Could it be that because the decline in the UK's educational standings makes uncomfortable reading for Labour the BBC is riding to the rescue by reporting a misleading party line? That would be the worst possible conclusion. At best however the BBC would still be guilty of shocking background research on this subject…
