Monarchy or republic, the best sort of Government is the smallest sort, and so it is hardly surprising that having created the lumbering behemoth Gordon Brown now answering for HMRC's arrogance and incompetence. But the issue ought not to be one of freedom or even practicality so much as one of simple reason and morality.
