Im Westen nichts Neues. Parliament is briefly in recess and the focus has shifted to the neck of Mr. Plod and whether the axe should be applied to it or not. To the East the fog has come down: Europe and the Union are shrouded once more in the miasma of mendacity and obfuscation.
