The London Development Agency is rather an anomaly. It has, in theory, been supplanted by the Greater London Authority but it carries on, with a budget of £600 million a year (or thereabouts), grand offices in Palestra House, a Chief Executive with a salary of close to £200,000 and a mission of driving forward sustainable growth in London.
